THE INFLUENCES ...

There is a LOT of guitar players I like “on Earth” !!! I’ll say that I really apreciate Michaël LANDAU for his overall sound and inspiration in his playing and my “mentor” is still and always Larry CARLTON for his touch, his sensibility and sens of melodie and improvisation ... what a gift ! But I keep beeing a big fan of Steve LUKATHER “ex” TOTO’s guitarist.
I also like Lee RITENOUR, Dann HUFF, Eric JOHNSON, Phil KEAGGY, Joe SATRIANI, Jeff BECK, Paul JACKSON Jr, Robben FORD, Hadley HOCKENSMITH, Stevie RAY VAUGHAN, John MAYER, Robert CRAY ... I should have forgotten someone !!! Actually, I grew up listening to californian music : CHRISTOPHER CROSS, Richard MARX, Michaël BOLTON, Boz SCAGGS,... But I like of course bands : YES, KANSAS, MISTER MISTER, U2 ...http://www.mikelandau.com/http://mr335.com/http://www.stevelukather.net/Homepage.aspxhttp://www.toto99.com/http://users.aol.com/guitarron/dannhuff/dannhuff.htmhttp://members.aol.com/guitarron/pk/pk.htmhttp://members.aol.com/guitarron/pk/pk.htmhttp://www.satriani.com/satch_frames/members_src.htmlhttp://www.pauljacksonjr.com/http://www.robbenford.com/http://www.robbenford.com/http://www.richardmarx.com/shapeimage_1_link_0shapeimage_1_link_1shapeimage_1_link_2shapeimage_1_link_3shapeimage_1_link_4shapeimage_1_link_5shapeimage_1_link_6shapeimage_1_link_7shapeimage_1_link_8shapeimage_1_link_9shapeimage_1_link_10shapeimage_1_link_11
THE GUITARS

Wow, it’s gonna take some time !!!

Actually, I’m now using more guitars than in the past. I also like trying things, new and lod stuffs !!! During one year, I had till 15 guitars at home. As I didn’t use them all, I became reasonable ... but how it’s gonna last ? Ha, ha, ha, ...
I’ve got «a few» guitars custom made, all theses babies equipped with custom handmade pickups.

I’ve of course always my old strat (85) "Le Lion et l’Agneau» (the Lion and the Lamb).

I’m using Yamaha and Ibanez acoustic guitars.

You could find just below some pictures of the guitars. http://www.yamaha-europe.com/yamaha_europe/france/index.htmlhttp://www.ibanez.co.jp/world/country/frame_france.htmlshapeimage_2_link_0shapeimage_2_link_1

About the French guitar players, I really apreciate Michel-Yves KOCHMANN for his musicality, Sébastien CHOUARD and Jean-Michel KAJDAN and also the dexterity of Tristan KLEIN and the personality of Christophe GODIN.

I’m also a big fan of Michaël W. SMITH and Keith GREEN for the christian music and I’m still enjoying listening to the band KOÏNONÏA with Abraham LABORIEL on the bass !

In my highschool time, I also used to be a big fan of the band Stryper ...

I’d like to say as well that I’m a great admirator of the saxophonist  Kirk WHALUM. I’m also listening from time to time to classic music, I like the Symphonies, W.A. Mozart, the melodies of  Chopin ...

Actually, I do love the melodie and everything which is played with heart and which touchs mine. If there’s some guitar parts in the story, so, it’s still better !!!! Ha, ha, ha !!!

AMPS & EFFECTS

About the amp section, it’s quite simple : one preamp / multieffet Axe-Fx (or a PODxt for small gigs), which goes both straight to the sound system and to 2 or 3 personnal active monitors, all that controled by a midi foot controler (at the moment, the FBV Shortboard, waiting for the Fractal Audio’s one).

Havind tryed different ways to root my sound, I’ve discovered the tri-amplification. So, you’ve got 3 speakers : one for the dry sound, and the 2 last for the effects in stereo. It’s so comfortable !! But it’s not the best way to work with sound ingenior, especially in live situation !
